Joel spent 30 years with the Canadian Armed Forces, in an operational role as a Naval Warfare Officer and then as a Training Development Officer, designing and managing learning programs.

Joel supported operational and leadership training for the military, the public service, various non-profits, and the private sector.

Joel holds a master’s degree focusing on the development of high-performance teams and leadership and institutional management. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
